Meet Dr. Victor Manzo

Suffering From Multiple Conditions As a Child

As a pediatric chiropractor, Dr. Vic is passionate about helping kids, pregnant moms and parents who are planning to have children. He was born with bilateral clubfoot. “Both my feet were internally rotated and curling inward. My doctors had to put a cast on left foot and utilize leg braces to help turn my feet from pointing inward.”

From there, he went through rounds of antibiotics when he was a baby and toddler. He suffered from chronic strep throat and almost lost his life at 5 due to bacterial meningitis. At 7, he found out he couldn’t play sports in high school due to chronic hip issues. “Then, when I was a teenager, I suffered from 3-4 severe sinus infections each year that lasted 2-3 weeks with 2-3 more weeks of what sounded like a smoker’s cough.”

At 19, his health and life started to take a turn for the worse.  I started playing rugby at Arizona State and within that first year, my health slowly declined more and more each month.  What was weird for me is, during my upbringing, I was told exercise and good nutrition with supplements is the way to a healthy lifestyle.  At 19, I was eating a clean diet, taking my supplements (Vit D, Multi, Fish Oils, Vit. B, Mag/Cal, Spirulina) and I was in the best shape of my life.  I was able to run 5 minute miles at that time.  But what was happening is I started to get acne on my back, cold sores in my mouth, daily congestion, sensitivity to light, daily dull headaches, chronic bloating, variety of digestive issues, difficulty concentrating/focus, feelings of anxiety/anxiousness all the time and muscle aches.   Instead of going to the medical doctor which could not get me into an office for over a month, this is where “I found chiropractic and finally began to get to the cause of why I was suffering from so many conditions and health issues. Not only did I find out I had scoliosis, but we found out the primary cause of all my symptoms – my nervous system.”

Obtaining a Chiropractic Education

Never wanting to stop learning about the power of the body, the wisdom of the body and how our bodies and nature work together, Dr. Vic started his pre-chiropractic education at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and studied Business Management. From there, he went to Parker University in Dallas, Texas where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC). His post-chiropractic education has been primarily in pediatric care, family wellness care and customized nutrition. He became a Certified Chiropractic Wellness Provider (CCWP) in 2016.

Enjoying an Active Family Life

Outside the practice, Dr. Vic loves spending time with his wonderful, beautiful wife Veronica and their adorable and sweet dog Hank. “Since we both live the chiropractic lifestyle, health is our biggest priority; we do anything we possibly can that involves nature, fitness, organic food and enjoying our time together.” Dr. Vic also gets adjusted twice a week.

“I am always making sure my brain and nervous system are communicating and connected to the environment, so I am functioning at my best, every day.

I am a firm believer in role modeling for my practice members to give them a crystal clear vision of what is a chiropractic lifestyle can accomplish, and show them that health is not by chance but by choice.

A Love for Sports and Fitness

Dr. Vic has been a huge sports fan all of his life. He cheers for both the Cubs and White Sox. “But when they go against each other, you know I am rooting for the Cubbies all the way!” He also loves being fit, active and energizing his body with the best fuel this earth can provide. “I am constantly biohacking my body with everything I can find to keep me functioning at 100% and maximizing my human potential!  Health is a daily commitment and it is something I strictly focus on each and every day so I can be the best version of me for my family, friends, practice members and anyone who I am in contact with.”
